Hoo boy, this was interesting The outfit I was wearing when I read this challenge was not something I would ever wear together normally (since I was traveling in a Muslim country, I had to be wearing something modest and comfortable that wouldn't be too hot), which made things difficult... That said, at least it is a *lot* of fabric, so that wasn't an issue. That said, I still decided to use the extra muslin as an accent color on the skirt.
Anyway, in my redesign I decided to more or less mimic the silhouette of the original outfit with the slight volume on top with the circle skirt, but I wanted to give it a bit more of a retro feel, hence the back buttons. And! It still feels a little vacation-y, so I guess that goes with the original circumstance.
